Distinguish recent movement from a season baseline without treating a short run or streak as a forecast.
How to use it
Read the percentage movement
Recent-vs-season change describes how far the recent average moved from the season reference for that metric.
Check opportunity
Minutes, starts and PIR help show whether the statistical movement coincides with a change in role or playing time.
Use consistency as context
CV is coefficient of variation: a relative variability measure. Lower values generally indicate a steadier sample, but only when the sample is meaningful.
Inspect Game Flow
The chart shows the selected metric game by game against the season reference. The current above/below run is descriptive history, not momentum probability.
What the important terms mean
The broader season average for the same metric and selected context.
Performance Index Rating, the competition box-score performance index used as a broad production measure.
Coefficient of variation, a relative measure of dispersion around the sample average.
Consecutive recent games above or below the season reference.
